About This Site

When I was a kid, I made a Steam account for myself. I started playing the cello in elementary school, and I remember a time when I was the second-best cellist in the school orchestra. I believe that coincided with when there were only two cellists.

Since making that Steam account, I’ve just generally kept sticking to using the handle “commandercello” for everything. It’s a little awkward considering that I’m not that great at playing the cello (at the time of writing this, my cello threatened to break itself a couple of years ago and I haven’t dared touch it since), nor am I much in command of anything (I do like to think of myself as in good command of the English language, though).

Sometimes people call me “Cello” online (I think only one person ever called me “Commander”), but you can also call me Jack.

I do not know much about website construction (in fact, I would say I know next to nothing about it), so this blog was created with the much-appreciated help of Zonelots, a modified version of Zonelets. I’m so inept at putting together a website that most of what you’re seeing now was actually put together by my friend Chase, who kept telling me to make my website look more interesting.

Additionally, something I’ve noticed about the way Zonelots is formatted is that the date displayed on each blog post is offset. I think it’s something to do with computers default to GMT or something… though I’m not sure. So, the “MM/DD/YYYY” label is off (at least when I check them), but the “YYYY-MM-DD” ones are fine. That being said, it probably doesn’t matter that much what specific day each post was uploaded (frankly, I tend to have to do a bit of tweaking afterwards, so the upload dates tend to be pretty loose anyways.)
